60's

Elastómeros Riojanos S.A., Elastorsa, initiated its activity in 1967 as a manufacturer of rubber compounds for third parties. The first activity to start was the shoe sole manufacturing of which we later on became the leader in the Spanish market.

80's

In the eighties the company created a new division dedicated to the production of extruded profiles for the car industry. The activities of rubber compounding, shoe soles manufacturing and extrusion of car profiles, coexist simultaneously in separate divisions. At that time the big car manufacturers like Renault, Seat, Peugeot, Citroën, Nissan and others became important customers of Elastorsa.

90's

Elastorsa signed an agreement with Continental, and the company Contitech-Elastorsa S.A. was created integrating the car profile manufacturing division. In 1995 Elastorsa sold its complete participation in that company and decides to concentrate its forces on the development of the rubber compound manufacturing division. From that moment on the company realizes a spectacular growth transforming itself into one of the principal European rubber compound manufacturing groups.

The group grows with four new companies. In 1998 Cauchos Bracamonte (Salamanca-Spain) is founded, in 2002 Formix (Orleans- France) is bought, in 2009 Elastorsa Slovakia (Martin-Slovakia) is founded and in 2013 Industrias del Caucho (Pamplona-Spain) enters the group.
